Jolie Cherie is a Parisian music trio composed of Etienne, Samir & Melina who met at university
They were featured on a 2 Kitsuné compilations and recently released their latest track with the famous singer from the 80s band Chagrin d’Amour “Valli”.
1/ Favorite destination ?
Le Havre.
2/ Best thing to do there ?
The water-front,it must start form the port zone, industrial abandoned space, and then head to “Sainte Adresse” and “Le Bout Du Monde” near the beach.
You have to be prepared to go through fences and jump a few walls to get to the port zone and encounter the helixes cemetaery.
There is also Saint Joseph church, the Notre Dame cathedral, the Muma and the volcan (yoghurt pot for the locals).
Eat at Tartarin if you can or Les Grands Bassins or La Taverne Paillette.
3/ Best tip to travel ?
You have to imagine yourself as a foreigner. The city looks more like Volvograd or the industrial part of England than France.
Discovering the city during summer is a must for the first time, always bring a little wool and a rain coat.
Try to go there in July and have a look at the music festival Hello Birds in Etretat while you are in the area.
4/ Best / Worst travel memories ?
Best souvenir : Also a tip actually, go to the water-front in February and watch the magnificent show of the water during the storm.
Worst souvenir: So many tough nights, the nightlife is rubbish but things are getting there…slowly.
5/ Next trip ?
Mexico hopefully, with our crazy spanish friend and then always Barcelona, London.
